The Beast from the East and the Best from the West

Have you ever read a book that never seems to end? It’s painfully boring, correct? Well, let’s talk about America’s involvement in warfare, and see how it can correlate. Basically, The United States of America has been in a constant state of conflict, in some form or another, ever since the birth of the nation.  Now, I feel like it’s important to mention that for the most part, in my lifetime of twenty years, The United States has never been in a war against an opponent that could actually harm the integrity of our nation – until now! Yes, that’s right folks – We’re in a newly formed Cold War with China!

The whole conflict revolves around trade routes and stuff in the South China Sea. China wants to play a larger part in the control of the area, and they’re letting everyone know it by flexing their military muscle, and they’re getting buff, quick! They’ve already strengthened their Navy a great deal, so they can make a presence.
President Obama will counter this movement by sending 2500 new troops to Australia, to increase a presence in the Indo-Pacific front. He also stated that the US is a major nation in the Pacific nations and that our increased presence will shape the area and its future! – Whether this proves to be morally correct or not. Who knows?

Anyway, President Obama’s play will put a stranglehold on the budget of China, holding out for Chinese workers and intellectuals to rebel against austerity and repression. Basically, the plan is to wait for it to tear itself apart. This is the same plan that was used against the USSR, during the first cold war.  That worked, obviously, but we’ll see how it goes.

It’s suspected, and I support this theory personally, that the war will primarily be a political and economic issue, rather than a full scale military based war. However, there could be Proxy wars between China and some of its neighbors, such as Taiwan, in which the US is an ally, therefore, the US may get drawn into issues regarding that, militarily.

That’s pretty much the situation, from top to bottom. Now you get my opinion on it, and it is this – While I feel that it’s important for the United States to protect its interests and resources, I feel that it’s important for a nation to take care of its own people first. This is a policy that I’ve stuck by ever since I first had an understanding of political affairs. Shouldn’t we take care of Occupy Wall Street and other affairs like that? But, then I must interject to my thought process that if we don’t infringe upon the progress of China as a nation, that perhaps that would be the greatest risk to all of us.

Could this escalate to something more than just a hushed quarrel? Could it turn into a full scale World War III? Will we exhaust our resources? Or will the United States just turn a blind eye, and let the chips fall where they may, and leave its allies on their own? Who knows!?

I want to know what you, the reader, think. This is some serious mess going on in our current lives. It’s important, and everyone should know.  And everyone should have a voice in everything, and The Everything Blog is working to give you that.

Here is a set of links that go into further detail about the current situation:

Oh, and one more thing. I don’t think this is something that anyone should lose sleep over. So, don’t spend your long nights digging a bunker into the side of a mountain. I just wanted to stress that! Haha

Desserts of Champions

It's Patrick, again. I know this is going to be a little whacky, but I was thinking about my favorite desserts, considering Thanksgiving is on the way, and I couldn't help blogging about it. If everyone can agree on something, it is that food is amazing, right? So, I thought I would just rap with you about my three favorite desserts and a bizarre dessert I've never had, but would try. Shall we begin?!

#3. Banana Pudding

Banana pudding took it's place in the champions circle, when I was a child. Something about its simplicity just makes it an all around, great, dessert! I take mine with an extra helping of wafers - it's totally the best part.

#2. Chocolate Cake

Chocolate cake joins the circle of Champions due to its decadence of flavor and texture; it's harmonious. Everyone loves chocolate, and if you don't, there's probably something wrong with you, and you should be sent off to a lab to be studied.

#1. Chocolate Oatmeal Cookies

Now, I don't know if you saw this coming or not. I can't really think of many people that ever really talk about oatmeal cookies, however I could be living under a rock. I know, at least, that many people wouldn't stick this treat at number one. There's nothing wrong with them - They're perfection. I mean, A) It's a cookie B) It's chocolate. What's not to love?! It's convenient and delicious. I could eat them until I puked rainbows of painful joy.

Bonus: The Bizarre Dessert - Deep Fried Milk

I did some research on this, and apparently it's a Chinese hit. It sounds utterly disgusting to me, but I'm all about trying new things. It involves several types of milk, and cornstarch, deep fried...or something like that. Who knows? I would try it, though. I'm sure it has to be somewhat good, to still exist.

Feel free to comment, if you enjoyed the blog. Think about your favorite desserts, and tell us, at The Everything Blog, what you think should be the juggernaut of the dessert world. I'm hoping everyone has a great Thanksgiving holiday, and don't die from over eating or get trampled on Black Friday. Ta-ta!

The Tyrant - Cancer

Okay, so, my name is Patrick, and I'm one of the elements that go into the creation of this blog. As of late, I've been suffering from the most annoying toothache in the entire world! Attempting to avoid going to the dentist, at all costs, because I detest going to that hell on earth, I got on the internet in a search for "at home remedies" for my ailment. Somehow, on my journey, I came across this article talking about root canals, and all that good stuff, and it said to me, as bright as the sun shines on the hottest summer day - root canals are a cause of breast cancer.

Now, before you throw your computer through the window, curse this blog into oblivion, or spam the absolute shit out of me, with hate mail, hear me out! I'm not here to dispute this fact - Nor, am I hear to dispute the seriousness of breast cancer; I'm just here to to ask - What doesn't cause breast cancer, honestly?

On my quest for knowledge, just to enlighten myself on the topic, I searched a list of things that have been proven/are strongly suggested to cause breast cancer, and this list is as long as my leg! I swear, I'm not even joking! You just have to go to google and type this shit in, and you'll be bombarded, straight up!  Some of this stuff is ridiculous, literally!

I'm sure there are millions and millions of causes for all types of cancers; and I wonder if everything that is proven to cause cancer, theoretically, then we should all have cancer, because if everything is proven by statistics, we expose ourselves to these tasks/elements in our daily lives. I could have cancer right now, and not even know it - probably breast cancer, because that's the only type of cancer that everyone talks about, for some reason.

Anyway, I thought this was good to just share a thought, and keep the blog alive; it's been pretty stagnant. If you feel the need to read this, and even reply (which would be great!), I'd be more than happy to hear your thoughts about it. But, if it seems like dribble to you, then it is what it is, and you don't have to acknowledge it one bit. I'll read them, while I'm trying to sleep at night!

The Beginning

So, this is just a general introduction to you - the one accompanying us on this journey. Basically, The Everything Blog, while others exist, is a dream created by me and a few of my cohorts, to form a one stop destination for entertainment, news, major topics, and even advice; we're going to try to have it all. We're a little slow on start-up, due to schedule conflicts, and all that good stuff. We will also, at some point, be migrating to our own personal website, but until then, we must make due with what we have. Therefore, we've chosen blogger as our home base, until then.

None of this can be accomplished without you. So, please, have faith while we come together, and make a beautiful thing. Tell your friends; tell your mom/dad/cousin, just whoever. And please, offer feedback. Nothing great was ever made without criticism. Thank you, and I bid you farewell until the next time we meet.
